2nd shift Material Handler

3-11 Monday - Friday $20 per hour

The Material Handler ensures production lines are supplied with raw materials and packaging to maintain efficient operations throughout the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with supervisor in proactively supplying raw materials for each machine in Print Press Department on a daily basis.
• Coordinate with packaging department to ensure that daily workflow is maintained between Print Press and Shipping Departments.
• Ensures all areas have the required materials in a timely manner to promote an efficient operation.
• Receive shipments of materials that need to be unloaded from trucks, accounted for, properly labeled, and placed into designated areas.
• Fill warehouse satellite locations with raw materials
• Bring unused raw material “returns” back to the warehouse
• Perform daily cycle counts of inventory items.
• Provide assistance to Quality Assurance team members as needed.
• Responds to requests for raw materials and packaging in a timely manner.
• Efficiently load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and shipping area.
• Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes.
• Operate pallet jacks and fork trucks as assigned.
• Complete any paperwork honestly and accurately.
• Promotes and maintains a work area that is clean and safe, following all safety standards and guidelines.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Preferred Skills, Experience, and Certifications
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
Physical Requirements
The ability to stand for long periods of time with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously is required. This individual must be able to operate a fork-truck.
Special Working Conditions / Travel Requirements
This job operates in a warehouse environment. Little travel is expected.
