Logistics Analyst

Overview:

This position is for the EB East Maintenance & Modernization Site in Kings Bay, GA.

Successful candidate for this position will be able to perform material control, issue, receipt and management functions for AIT projects. Functions will include but are not limited to:

• Review and expedite required kit and DF material via work order and SPARS.
• Plan, outfit, and set up project sites.
• Review applicable TWDs including DWGs, TGIs, DFs, MRPII work orders for progression and close out.
• Receive and stage material from other sites.
• Package and ship material to other sites.
• Perform purchase requisitions.
• Report material statuses to project managers and supervisors at status meetings.
• Establish and maintain consumable and service material.
• Review and provide support equipment for the execution of the installation.
• Liaise with government representatives for turnover of GFE/GFM and other government material.
• Maintain material in ready for issue state including kitting and properly storing leveled material for both GFE and CFE items.
• Purchase items in accordance with local instruction.
• Perform receipt inspection

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Computer skills including knowledge of MRPII, Electronic Desktop, ITS, Oracle, SPARS, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to obtain a forklift license.

Preferred:

• Experience in shipyard production planning/warehouse operations.
• Experience in Electric Boat purchasing.
• Knowledge on warehousing and inventory control.
• Previous material coordinator or handling experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain purchasing card.
• Hazardous material handling experience.

Skills:

• Good organizational skills and an attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
