Assembler - Wire Harness

Timpte is looking for Assembler – Wire Harness in our David City Timpte Equipment Trailer Assembly Center! We’re looking for people to perform assembly operations of wire harnesses used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems and operate various equipment as needed.

Compensation Range: Base pay $19/hour + $1/hr after 60 days + Monthly Bonus!

Job Responsibilities

• Operates wire harness machines.

• Reads instructions, such as prints, work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.

• Wraps and ties wires together at designated points to form harness, manually or using tie-wrap gun.

• Operate equipment as assigned.

• Perform preventative maintenance to keep tools and equipment in good working condition.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and trailer schedules

• Knowledge to operate machines, hand tools, tape measures, cranes, and other equipment

• Ability to work with general supervision and make basic quality decisions

• Must be able to work with other employees

• Prior manufacturing/wire harness experience helpful

• Must be able to designate different colors

• Ability to learn job and be fully competent within three months
