About Us

Vertex Tower Solutions is a young, lively company. We got our start back in 2008 and have been a part of building the telecom infrastructure throughout the US ever since. We love being a part of such a vital industry and we don’t take this responsibility lightly.

We approach every job with three core values: Quality – always providing the best work possible, Consistency– providing the best work every time, and Speed– doing a job right the first time. Lastly, we sprinkle in a bit of fun! We believe in working hard and playing hard too #workhardplayhard. At our core, Vertex is made up of an amazing team of people that are known for our high regard for integrity, amazing culture, and collective push toward excellence.

You’ll be reporting to our location in Hayden, ID (10 mins north of Coeur D'Alene) each Monday morning. We commonly enjoy coffee and donuts together while discussing the upcoming jobs and goals for the week. From there you’ll load your gear into a company vehicle and head out with your team. Each week will take you somewhere different, but believe us when we say the view will be AMAZING. You’ll work with your team to provide construction/troubleshooting services on cellular sites for carriers such as; T-Mobile, Verizon, Century Link, and AT&T.

Wherever you end up after a rewarding day of work, we’ll get you set up in a hotel. Company provided, no reimbursement hassle necessary.

In fact, all travel happens in a company-provided truck, plus fuel and lodging are paid for by the company.

You’ll Want to Come to Work (Yes Really)

The average human spends a lot of time at work, and we find life to be a lot more enjoyable when you love what you do, and who you work with. It’s important to us that Vertex is somewhere you want to be! Our team is excited and passionate to help you along the way in order to make your start successful and exciting.

Here’s some info about working at Vertex:

Your First 90 Days

We don’t require you to have any previous tower climbing experience when applying for this position, so your first 90 days will be a training period. You will receive training in proper climbing and rescue techniques for industrial climbing, CPR, radio frequency awareness training, industrial rigging, general job site safety, winter/remote site access safety, general construction operations, and much more.

Now that you know about us, let’s talk about you.

How to Succeed Here:

At Vertex, our goal is to help keep people connected and to do it well. You will be joining a team that is passionate about showing up every day ready to perform, you should be too.

You should be adaptable. In telecom, plans are constantly shifting. While we do our best to keep our teams updated and prepared, it helps to be flexible and willing to adapt to changing plans.

You take initiative. Doing your part to help the collective team work better and faster is vital. Waiting to be instructed on each and every step and/or being significantly outworked by your peers doesn’t pay off in the long run. There is a lot of instruction during the training period, but even small contributions are noticed and appreciated. *Hint: When you don’t know what to do, use the phrase “How can I help!” and major brownie points will go to you.

You are committed to doing the job well. We are known for our hard work and great results, and as a hard worker with a great attitude, you’ll fit right in.

You’re tech-savvy and catch on quickly. We won’t go into the nitty-gritty details but, we work with technology. Yes, we climb towers and work at extreme heights, but believe it or not, that’s the easy part. One of the staples of this job is hands-on troubleshooting, which involves a lot of problem-solving and critical thinking. While you may not know much about telecom now, you should understand technology, and be able to learn and understand new systems quickly.

You understand the importance of speed, but you can still maintain accuracy. Speed is only a part of the equation, and we take pride in doing our very best work, no matter the conditions.

You know the importance of teamwork and play well with others. You can do the job on your own, but you know that it’s better with a team.

You’re ready to learn how we do things at Vertex. Whether you have experience in construction, or you’re brand new to the industry, you’re ready to jump on board and become a part of the team!

You’re Just What We’re Looking For, If…

  • You’re able to travel Monday-Friday (this is a traveling position after all)
  • You can be in Haydenm ID every Monday morning for the start of work
  • You are physically able to climb 1,000 vertical feet per day
  • You have a valid Driver’s License
  • You can pass Random Drug Tests
  • You’re able to perform tasks in a timely and safe manner
  • You can be available for occasional weekends and rotational assignments (2-3 weeks)
  • It’s a bonus if you have past construction experience, but it’s not a deal-breaker
