Manufacturing & Testing Technician
Pay rate: $26-31
Shift/hours: M - F 7:00am to 4:00pm
(Must be willing to work overtime, night shift, weekends, and odd hours at certain pre-planned intervals for final testing.)

PrideStaff is working with a growing aerospace battery company in the Roswell area seeking a manufacturing & testing technician. You will work in a clean industrial setting performing testing of electro-chemical cells and associated mechanical and electrical systems, reading gages, and computer screens.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Basic duties
- This person will be dedicated to learning our critical assembly process steps which also include running product tests including capacity test, thermal tests on aerospace batteries made from large format lithium-ion cells.
- Will perform electrical tests and measure/record electrical and physical properties, like impedance, current, resistance, voltages.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required at times. Must be fit and able to read gauges and patch connections at floor- level.
- Character traits & Aptitude
- Must have well above average skills mentally, verbally, numerically & mechanically and be able to read and comprehend detailed written directions. Must be clear and direct communicator. Must be able to recognize and respond to hazardous conditions.
- Attention to detail and following procedures to the letter is key. A great deal of reading is required and reading speed and comprehension is essential. Must be; safety conscious, practical and highly motivated, able to learn quickly and have the knack for operating varied equipment and instruments. Good eyesight, (correctable) required
- Initiative, energy and willingness to identify improvements needed. Steady hands, and a light touch are needed to operate touch screens, computer mouse/keyboard, and test equipment switches. Neat legible hand-writing required for test data record entry reviewed by customers.
- Able to be trained quickly.
- After training, will work with one other person during night shift, at times.
- Must be prompt and dependable
- Must be team player capable of taking detailed written direction.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Experience: 3-5 years experience in aerospace or defense contractor beneficial, energy storage and low level power transmission experience preferred.
- Electrical harness and interconnection of power and signal wiring or electronic assembly useful.
- Familiarity with ISO9000 or AS9100 Quality Management System preferred.
- Lithium battery experience and night shift experience desired.
- Clean room experience and working with ESD environment preferred.
- Running charge/discharge and battery test equipment preferred.
Equipment
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Adobe. Able to use a multi-meter, make electrical connections per documented procedure and examine connectors with an eye loupe.
- Must be able to collect data, populate datasheets and issue reports.
- Will operate multi-meters, learn special processes to operate environmental chambers, vacuum chambers.
- Must be able to read electrical schematics/mechanical drawings, procedures, proofread other’s work & manually fill in test data records.
Education and Certifications:
- Degree: 2 year technical/associates degree or military equivalent minimum. Major: Technician or Electrical assembly
