Our Managers have the overall accountability for food quality and guest service in the restaurant. As part of the Management team, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the business to ensure compliance with Company standards, including food preparation and delivery, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, training, recruiting, retention of team members and financial performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for restaurant operations in dining, waiting and service areas ensuring guests’ experiences meet or exceed Company expectations
- Identify and correct service bottlenecks and/or other opportunities for improvement
- Directly supervise/coach Manager Assistants, Cashiers, Food Expeditors and Servers
- Ensure Company training programs are administered to all Guest Service department employees
- Work Opening, Mid and Closing shifts as Manager on Duty and performs duties associated with each shift as required
- Make quick and effective decisions in a fast paced environment in response to the needs of the restaurant
- Jump in and do whatever is needed in any area of the restaurant
- Delegate tasks, projects and/or recurring assignments and hold employees accountable through consistent follow up and documentation as necessary
- Identify potential challenges and take immediate corrective actions
- Report any issues regarding operating function of the building or its equipment and assures they are corrected
- Responsible for writing and/or approving schedules for Hosts, Food Expediters and Servers
- Work closely with management team to assist as needed and collaborate to meet Company expectations for all areas of restaurant operation
- Ensure employees adhere to all Company policies & procedures along with compliance to OSHA, Health Department and TABC requirements
- Utilize Company feedback tools and processes to document performance of department employees
Requirements:
- Able to perform Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Management experience in full-service with bar.
- General understanding of P&L (controlling food cost, labor cost, and operating expenses and implementing cost control measures)
- Basic PC skills including web based applications, email, Microsoft Word & Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional team building capability
