Schaffhouser, a rapidly growing, Veteran-owned Industrial Electrical Contractor, is seeking a career-minded, proficient Industrial Electrical Foreman (heavy emphasis on Industrial) who is passionate, driven, and highly motivated, to work in and around Bowling Green, KY.

As an Electrical Foreman, you would be responsible for all aspects of the planning, implementation, and completion of electrical projects including installation, maintenance, and repair. Additionally, you would be responsible for providing the leadership to plan, direct, organize coordinate, and control the entire field project operations to meet the continuing growth and profit objectives of Schaffhouser Electric Company. Also, you would be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of electrical systems and equipment, as well as troubleshooting in a variety of work areas while paying close attention to all aspects of safety.

The Electrical Foreman should also possess exceptional technical & problem-solving skills to be able to identify electrical issues and proceed with prompt repairs. Being able to oversee and work in a team setting and to complete objectives within a given time frame is a must. Ability to teach and mentor electricians and apprentice electricians is required.

We Need Your Expertise!

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of weekly Schedule to include labor, equipment, and material deliveries;
  • Ensure good & safe working conditions, through site inspections;
  • Must have the ability to construct and fabricate and/or diagnose and repair electrical problems rapidly and accurately. Must stay up to date with changes in equipment usage and industry codes.
  • This position is that of a working Foreman(job size dependent), that helps maintain a clean and safe job site;
  • Train and mentor all your assigned crew members on the job site;
  • Maintain hours log sheet – accurate labor reporting of worksheet/time cards;
  • Keep on or ahead of the project schedule & timely project completion;
  • Preparation of daily/weekly field reports as indicated by management;
  • Assure compliance with all State & Local electrical codes and safety policies;
  • Ensure that the project development functions are current & accurate;
  • Assuring that company equipment and materials are properly used;
  • Must contain a Clean driving record and be insurable;
  • Other functions as directed by management.

Experience Desired:

  • Education: Minimum of a High School Education along with a completed Apprenticeship program, or an Associates' degree in Electrical preferred. Equal experience in the industrial electrical industry may also be considered.
  • Experience: This position requires a minimum of eight years of experience in the electrical contracting industry, with at least 2 years in a supervising role.
  • License / Certification: Preferred: Current Electrical License- Required: Current Valid Drivers License
  • Must have the ability to use computer applications and programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc., along with experience using other technologies and software on the job site such as tablets, laptops, smartphones, etc. **Experience using construction software applications such as Procore is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written;
  • Must be able to Supervise and perform all aspects of all electrical project duties and tasks
  • Must possess leadership abilities.
