File Processing Rep- Checks Processor

S3 is a CUSO which is an organization, owned by credit unions, which provides financial and operational services primarily to credit unions or members of credit unions. CUSOs provide financial services to credit union members such as investment and insurance services. CUSOs also provide operational services to credit unions for lending support services and compliance services.

The Checks Processor will perform functions including but not limited to the following: Inclearing, check file processing, shared branching, remote deposit capture (RDC), any associated research and adjustments, and any new initiatives added.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Processes files and settlement for Inclearing and Shared Branch network for partner credit unions

• Must secure and maintain confidential member information

• Performs Federal Reserve adjustments and Check 21 balancing and settlement

• Reviews, approves, and processes Remote Deposit Capture exceptions and makes necessary corrections

• Retrieves daily Fed Returns files and processes chargebacks

• Performs various types of research and adjustments related to check processing

• Work in collaboration and partnership with other team members

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES

• High School diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred; equivalent job experience may be considered

• Experience with Microsoft office is required

• Demonstrates the ability to secure and maintain confidential member information

• 1 - 2 years of experience in a financial environment required with strong knowledge of check processing, OFAC, BSA, Reg CC, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Articles 3 & 4, and Reg E

• Proven experience with prioritizing workload based on mandatory requirements and member service level agreements

• Proven excellence in problem resolution and process improvement skills

• Detail oriented and possess above average organizational, and communication skills

• Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to work flexible hours is required

• Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit

• Team-oriented
