Architect: Field Applications Engineer

We are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced Applications Engineer to join our growing team. In this critical customer facing role, you will leverage your extensive experience in Design Verification and Emulation to lead and manage all aspects of customer deployments for Synopsys' Emulation products. You will be responsible for day-to-day execution success of multiple customer projects while being a trusted advisor and strategic partner to customers, a collaborative leader within internal teams, and a driving force behind ZeBu and related technologies' deployment and ongoing support.

Responsibilities:

• Partner strategically with customers throughout their deployment journey, take ownership of day-to-day execution success on multiple emulation projects by solving technical problems, diligently reporting, tracking and following up on issues.
• Own and lead the successful management of high-performing technical teams responsible for ZeBu deployment and support while leveraging your knowledge of SystemVerilog, Emulation, Simulation, SVA, UPF, UVM, and protocols like PCIe, CXL.
• Serve as a highly regarded technical subject matter expert for customers, providing insightful guidance and advanced troubleshooting expertise on all product functionalities related to the aforementioned competencies.
• Proactively anticipate and mitigate potential roadblocks by developing contingency plans and fostering a proactive problem-solving culture within the team.
• Foster robust collaboration across internal teams (R&D, AE, sales) to drive clear communication, alignment, and optimal outcomes.
• Consistently demonstrate high standards of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning for individual and collective success.
• Cultivate a learning and development environment by mentoring and empowering junior staff to become high-performing technical leaders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 20+ years of progressive experience in Design Verification and Emulation.
• In-depth expertise in SystemVerilog, Emulation, Simulation, UVM, and protocols like PCIe, CXL etc.,
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, excelling in interactions and building trust with customers, peers and cross-functional teams.
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to dissect complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Unwavering customer-centric approach, prioritizing customer satisfaction and consistently exceeding expectations.

Location: Marlboro, MA

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $167,000 - $251,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
