The Wyoming Department of Corrections contributes to public safety by exercising reasonable, safe, secure and humane management, while actively providing offenders opportunities to become law-abiding citizens.
We’re currently seeking a *Corrections RN* to join our amazing team.
*Details of the Corrections RN opening:*
* Anticipated start date: *4/1/2024*
* Salary Range: *$1,690 weekly (36 hours)*
* Anticipated duration of assignment: 13 weeks
* Anticipated schedule: *Nights, 3x12s*

*Daily Range of Responsibilities of the Corrections RN:*
* Basic cardiac rhythm monitoring techniques, interpretation, and treatment
* Basic and advanced life support
* Calculating drug dosage, administering continuous medication infusion, and monitoring patients for effects of medication
* Monitoring patients before, during, and after invasive procedures
* Recognizing the signs and symptoms of cardiopulmonary and respiratory emergencies and knowing how to start standard interventions to stabilize the patient
*Qualifications for the Corrections RN:*
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
* Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse with active license(s) in the state(s) in which employed and practices.
* *Two year(s) of current experience within Correctional.*
* *Current BLS/BCLS certification*
* FBI background check
* Educated on and follows HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
* Follows Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
