The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Engineering Technician I in the Engineering Department. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants and will remain open until filled.

+ Nature of Work

The Engineering Technician works within the Engineering Department and assists with engineering support tasks primarily related to oversight of the City's right of way and annual street maintenance projects. These are tasks including but not limited to:

• Inspection and documentation of work by contractors within City right of way
• Ensuring compliance with City specifications and details for construction
• Surveying, staking, as-builts, and other tasks

+ Education, Experience, Other Requirements

• Graduation from civil engineering technical program or related two-year college degree, and one-year experience in surveying, drafting, construction inspection or related work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Possession of a valid North Dakota driver's license.

+ Compensation and Benefits

• The assigned salary range for the position of Engineering Technician I under the 2024 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 53, which is $22.57 per hour- $33.50 per hour or $46,944- $69,689 annually.
• This is a full time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
