Application Systems Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

• The primary responsibilities of the Application Systems Analyst will focus on analyzing business processes for technical implementations while working with functional departments to me organizational needs. The analyst is also expected to gain knowledge of rapidly changing computer technology. This requires that they strictly manage their time as well as help others on project teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides expert technical direction to projects that deal with highly specialized applications of system analysis and programming.
• Responsible for leading multiple technical phases of a project.
• Coordinate system development with various departments to meet organizational needs. This includes conferring with functional department heads to ascertain informational requirements.
• Assist in research and fact finding to develop or modify information technology.
• Train and guide the work of less experienced analysts.
• Responsibility relative to instructing, directing, and checking the work of other application systems and programming personnel.
• Responsible for program design, coding, testing debugging and documentation.
• Ability to build & modify Oracle database objects to solve complex problems.
• Develop reporting applications, form layouts and import/export capabilities using Power BI & Crystal Reports.
• Test ERP software, document issues, report issues to vendor and follow up.
• Assists with future ERP projects by working with users and defining needs and testing software to meet the needs. Uses train the trainer to help implement new projects.
• Manages security related to ERP systems.
• Confer with hardware engineers to evaluate interface between hardware and software.
• Assist in monitoring and resolving Helpdesk Tickets.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures.
• Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures, and work instructions.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a Technical Analyst capacity.
• 7+ years' experience in an Information Systems role(s).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment a definite plus.
• Experience in DELMIAWorks ERP system a definite plus.
• BA or BS degree in a technology related field, business administration or equivalent experience.
• Experience analyzing and documenting requirements, user cases, and process flow.
• Ability to analyze current business processes to determine what areas of improvement are needed.
• Ability to blend functional knowledge with technical knowledge to create intuitive solutions to business opportunities.
• .Net coding experience is a plus.
• Expertise with MS Office tools including Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint Experience with building positive relationships and gaining trust with business partners.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills with ability to customize messaging to varying audiences.

• Pushing or Pulling (60+ lbs. typically 0-15% of the day) - boxes, printers, computers/monitors
• Lifting or Carrying (0-35 lbs. typically 0-15% of the day) - boxes, printers
• Fine Manipulating (typically over 70% of the day) - typing
