Job Description:

As the Pump Sales Engineer for Oregon and Washington, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service while guiding clients through equipment selection and technical inquiries face to face, via phone, and email. Your primary responsibilities will include prospecting, generating quotes, following up on leads, and cultivating strong relationships with assigned customers. Additionally, you will conduct product demonstrations, coordinate substantial projects, and foster collaboration within the team. This position reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Director.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Expert Assistance: Address customers' queries regarding the appropriate selection of pumps and related equipment, demonstrating exceptional communication skills to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize your expertise to acquire, interpret, and apply technical pump information, such as Bill of Materials, performance curves, and dimensions, to assist customers in selecting suitable pump models.
  • Order Generation: Prepare and input sales quotes and orders, emphasizing key product features, pricing, and credit terms, while actively following up with potential and existing customers to qualify leads and facilitate sales transactions.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct product overviews to qualified customers upon request, effectively overcoming technical and business objections to drive sales.
  • Project Management: Take charge of managing large-scale projects as required, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of solutions to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with assigned customers, and internal team members, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to achieving sales objectives.
  • Market Representation: Represent REYCO Systems, trade shows, and other marketing events, actively engaging with prospective customers and promoting REYCO Systems products and services.
  • Travel Requirements: Weekly travel to customer locations in Washington and Oregon and trade shows as necessary to support business objectives.


Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or materials science from a reputable four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of relevant Sales experience and/or training.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Possess a strong mechanical aptitude to comprehend and effectively communicate technical concepts related to pumps and related equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Analytical Skills: Display excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address customer inquiries and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
