Caregiver

Job Summary:

The Caregiver at Village Caregiving - Point Pleasant is responsible for providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents in the Leon, West Virginia area. This is a full-time, hourly healthcare/medical job that requires a individual contributor to work independently and as part of a dedicated team. The Caregiver will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and providing emotional support.

Responsibilities:

- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor resident’s health and report any changes to the appropriate team members
- Provide emotional support and engage residents in meaningful activities
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents
- Collaborate with other team members to create individualized care plans for each resident
- Communicate effectively with family members and other healthcare professionals involved in the resident’s care
- Follow all policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
- Attend mandatory trainings and meetings as required

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred
- Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting is a plus
- Compassionate and patient with a positive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
