We are seeking a results-driven and experienced individual to join our team as an Operations Lead for our Cider Mill and Bakery operations. Position: Operations Lead - Cider Mill and Bakery

Location: Olympia, WA

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee daily operations of our Cider Mill and Bakery, ensuring the seamless production and delivery of high-quality products.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize operational policies, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and uphold product standards.
  • Collaborate with department heads in both the Cider Mill and Bakery to streamline interdepartmental communications and ensure a cohesive and synchronized operational approach.
  • Analyze production and data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance overall operational performance.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams in both the Cider Mill and Bakery, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cider and bakery ingredients, coordinate with suppliers, and implement inventory control measures.
  • May also be asked to oversee operations of Farm Hands, as well.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set operational goals, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on achievements.
  • Identify training needs and provide ongoing development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and competencies.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment for all team members in both the Cider Mill and Bakery.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with team members at all levels.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements specific to the cider and bakery industry.
  • Proficiency in project management and process optimization.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
