API Inspector

POSITION SUMMARY:

SCC Inspection is hiring a full-time, nested API Authorized Inspector for a client in the Watford City/Dickinson ND area. The base schedule is 5×10’s.

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform internal, external and onstream inspections.

• Properly interpret regulations, codes and industry standards.

• Use a computer to compile and submit daily reports and inspection reports, as well as for inter-office communications.

• Compile and submit completed inspection reports in a timely manner.

• Pay attention to detail and be capable of recommending and approving repairs as well as performing visual inspection of completed work.

• Drive a vehicle safely in hazardous conditions.

• Be proficient with standard computer software (such as MS Word and Excel) and be able to write detailed inspection reports while maintaining an organized system of files.

• Maintain a positive relationship between client, facility and customer; and promote a positive attitude towards coworkers.

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Current American Petroleum Institute certifications (Preferably 510 or 57-)

• Extensive practical experience required.

• Extensive knowledge of industry standards including ASME and API

• ASNT Level II Certification in MT/PT/UT strongly preferred

• Current Driver’s License from state of residence

• TWIC Card holder

• Well documented work experience

     o Visual inspection of piping, pressure vessels, and tanks

• Ability to meet company certification standards.

• Drug and alcohol screens performed randomly.
