Dental Hygienist

Stallant Health is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in our Rural Health Clinic. This role is crucial in addressing the oral healthcare needs of our medically underserved community, offering a remarkable opportunity to make a significant impact in rural oral health.

Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations for patients of all ages.
• Perform periodontal therapy including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis.
• Take, develop, and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good oral health.
• Apply preventive materials to teeth such as sealants and fluorides.
• Assist in the management and treatment of oral health issues and diseases.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care in a rural setting.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Current state Dental Hygienist license.
• In-depth knowledge of dental health, oral hygiene, and periodontal care.
• Proficiency in using dental charting systems and managing electronic health records.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
• Eagerness to work in a rural health setting and address the unique challenges of medically underserved populations.
