Traffic Supervisor

Johnson Brothers Corp., A Southland Holdings company, is currently accepting resumes for an Experienced Construction Maintenance of Traffic Control to join our team for heavy highway work in Clewiston, FL. 
*Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, lift for extended periods, must work in all weather conditions, be prepared for both extreme hot/cold, must be able to work independently, maintain good schedule, available for OT.

The duties and responsibilities of construction maintenance of traffic control include.

• Patrolling roads for hazards and maintenance/repair needs.
• Placing stop signs and speed limit signs along the road.
• This involves setting up safety barriers and cones that show traffic where to drive.
• Must also setup, maintain and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, rumble strips and traffic cones.
• Drive the company vehicle to and from job sites in a safe manner.
•  Basic reading/writing ability to comply with road signs, complete paperwork in a timely manner. Knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations is also required.
• Removing roadkill.
• Filling road washouts and cleaning storm drains.
• Inspecting and maintaining operating equipment.
• Installing and cleaning culverts.
• Flagging traffic to form a detour around construction.
• Setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades to ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and construction workers.

 

• Physical Requirements:
  • Keep company vehicle clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems.
  • Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle.
• Requirements:
  • Compliance with all safety regulations is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations is also required.
  • Must work in all weather conditions and prepared for both extreme heat and cold.
  • Must be available to work over-time.
  • Must pass post offer drug screen.
