Key Responsibilities


Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these duties.

  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines.
  • Wash specific items by hand (e.g. cutting boards, pots, pans etc.).
  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately.
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary.
  • Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
  • Maintain neat and organized work areas; to include sanitizing, sweeping and mopping as needed.
  • Remove garbage regularly.
  • Assisting BOH team members with prepping and any other kitchen duties.
Requirements:


Dishwasher responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. Dishwashers are also responsible to assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant.


Essential Requirements & Skills

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work alone as well as with a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team members must be 18 years old and able to work in the United States.
  • Availability to work morning shifts, weekends and evenings.
  • Time management skills.

  • Leads self with self-discipline, critical thinking and problem solving, initiative, and leadership ability.
  • Leads people through a passion for motivating others to perform as a team to ensure great dining experiences.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements


A Dishwasher is expected to be able to perform the job functions with reasonable accommodation. This job entails frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold, contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items. With reasonable accommodations, physical demands include:

  • Remain standing for extended periods of time, bending, squatting, and lifting, up to 50 lbs. above waist level.
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
  • Hands on experience with industrial washing machines preferred but not required.
