Job Summary: The Handyman is a maintenance professional who performs routine maintenance on various clients’ homes and is generally responsible for, but not limited to, construction, electrical, and mechanical-related repairs. Clients often call our Handyman team after hours to report maintenance requests or emergencies and the Handyman will quickly arrive on-site to assess the situation and repair
the issue.
Primary Duties:
Perform tasks including basic mechanical repairs, electrical repairs, carpentry repairs, drywall repairs, troubleshooting appliances, maintenance items, and other tasks as assigned.
Prompt and effective problem-solving for on-call or emergency services.
Check and maintain Relax & Co. equipment.
Load and unload materials and supplies.
Communicate materials needed to management teams.
Manage work order and purchase order processes as outlined by Relax & Co protocols.
Working on a rotating schedule, sometimes including on-call, evenings, and weekends.
Skills:
Ability to safely use common power and hand tools.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn company software including Slack, Google Calendars/Docs/Sheets, and Housecall Pro.
Ability to communicate and listen effectively.
Experience:
2-3 years of handyman experience.
Licenses & Certificates:
Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Physical stamina to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather.
Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
Physical strength when performing heavy labor is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
