We are hiring a Fire Alarm Integration Technician. Experienced Alarm Technicians will be considered. This is an opportunity for someone with a proven track record and a great attitude to become part of a great company.
Job Summary:
The Fire Alarm Integration Technician provides on-premises support for primarily commercial and industrial fire alarm installations. The individual will be primarily engaged in the installation and completion of fire alarm systems but will also participate in some service work. The Fire Alarm Integration Technician will occasionally participate in the installation and service of some access control, video surveillance, and other security alarm work.
Essential Job Functions:
The Fire Alarm Integration Technician will:
- Install and service fire alarm systems.
- Test and inspect installed systems following established protocols.
- Instruct end users on use of system and answer customer questions.
- Help prepare documentation including records of completion and other documentation for proper monitoring and billing.
Marginal Job Functions:
The Fire Alarm Integration Technician will:
- Be able to work alongside other contractors in new build environments.
- Provide assistance to contractors and end users as needed.
- Perform site surveys with feedback on electronic drawings.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
The Fire Alarm Integration Technician should have:
- Ability to drive a company vehicle.
- Ability to work in diverse settings.
- Ability to program and learn to program commercial fire panels.
- Excellent understanding of electronic security systems, primarily Fire Alarm.
- Compliance with all safety requirements.

Position Prerequisites:
The Fire Alarm Integration Technician should have:
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Minimum five years of experience with commercial fire integration.
- Experience with Honeywell Systems (Notifier, Firelite) is a plus.
- Ability to understand system design prints and follow instructions accordingly.
- High school or equivalent degree (preferred).
- Basic understanding of networking.
- Some flexibility regarding schedule – some nights and weekends may be included.
- Local travel is required
- Strong communication skills.
- Mechanical hands-on ability/experience working with hand and power tools a plus.
Salary: $26+ per hour based on experience
