Infectious Disease opening in Connecticut
Location: Bridgeport, CT
50 miles to Manhattan, NY

  • Full Time
  • Physician assistant licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of CT.
  • Reports to and works under the supervision of the Director of Infectious Disease
  • Inpatient consultations at St Vincent’s Medical Center
  • Outpatient office including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment

Qualifications

§  Advanced Practitioner Requirements

§  Master’s Degree in Nursing

§  National Certification in Advanced Practice and current CPR certification

§  Current State of CT APRN license with prescriptive authority and current DEA number

§  Excellent clinical management skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take lead when appropriate

§  Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care

§  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to communicate in other languages - highly desirable

§  Ability to communicate technical information clearly to patients of all ages

§  Highly organized with demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks with full autonomy

§  Knowledge of computer systems, including experience with medical software (Epic)
