State and Local Tax Manager - Located in Warroad, MN

If you’re a tax expert with a keen eye for detail, we have the perfect role for you at Marvin! The State & Local Tax Manager is responsible for state and local tax matters with a focus on state income, sales and use tax reporting and compliance matters for all US business units. In this role, you will develop and assist with the implementation of planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities. You will also be responsible for performing tax research and analysis on a wide array of state and local tax subjects.

Highlights of your role

• Manage income and indirect tax nexus, apportionment and revenue sourcing for income, business activity and indirect taxes
• Review and manage sales taxability matrices and analysis for indirect taxes
• Merger & Acquisition State & Local Tax due diligence for pending transactions
• State and Local Tax controversies involving audits and administrative appeals
• Review sales and use tax returns

You're a good fit if you have

• Broad State & Local Tax experience, including income/franchise tax, personal income tax, and sales/use tax
• Finance or other related field’s degree
• Master’s or advanced degree preferred
• CPA and/or JD preferred

We also want to make sure you have:

• Strong background within State & Local Tax
• 4+ years of tax experience working in a public accounting or law firm
