About this position

Assists clinical dietitians in providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) per assessment of nutritional and educational needs for customers in areas of responsibility. Applies the science of human nutrition for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics to ensure optimal recovery, health improvement or stabilization. Follows Medical Nutrition Therapy Standards of Care, Manual of Clinical Dietetics American Dietetic Association, organizational policies and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements of the department. Functions in a cost effective manner and works as an interdisciplinary team member in order to attain goals of the department and mission of North Memorial.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Graduate of an accredited dietetic technician program.

Experience

• One Year experience with an emphasis on clinical nutrition and responsibilities in an institutional setting preferred.

• Read, speak, and write English.
• Maintains Professional Continuing Education Standards for registration.
• Ability to work with a variety of customers, team members and peers.
• Effectively and efficiently utilizes computer technology.

Licensure/Certification

Registered Dietetic Technician, if not registered must be registered within 3 months of date of hire - NMHC Standard
