Job Description & Requirements

RN: 2 yrs Experience
• Days - 1:5-6
• Nights - 1:6
• CNA: 2-3 per 30 patients
• Required Certifications:
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Skills required:
• Tele RN required
• Traveler will be required to PASS an EKG competency exam as part of compliance, prior to arrival (includes MedSurg RN)
• Cardiac experience - lead placement, cardiac strip analysis/interpretation, Non-titrating Cardiac gtts (Dopamine, Cardizem, Primacor, Amio, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin)
• Support on the Unit:
• Charge nurse: may or may not have patient assignment
• Phlebotomy - peripheral blood draws only
• IV/VAT Team for PICC/Midline placement
• House Supervisor, 24/7; PCC
• RT, 24/7
• Hospitalist available, 24/7
• OT, PT, ST
• Charting System/Equipment:
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• Floating:
• Possibly, to comparable units
• Scheduling:
• Weekend rotation: Every other
• Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week - this is mandatory
• Can we approve time off? Up to 7 days - must extend contract for any full weeks of RTO
