Aon is looking for a Senior Consultant - Cyber Claims Preparation - Forensic Accounting

Work Style: Hybrid near any Aon US location.

Project Fulfillment:

Working with forensic accountants, actuaries, forensic cyber experts, and reporting to the Cyber Claims leader, the Senior Consultant will:

  • Utilize accounting principles and techniques to acquire, interpret, record, and analyze a variety of data from all business types to assist in the quantification and the measurement of commercial cyber business insurance claims.
  • The candidate will assist in the review and measurement of business interruption and extra expense losses stemming from a cyber event. Businesses will consist of a wide range of industries and sizes.
  • The candidate will review and analyze financial information, including accounting records, financial statements, and underlying data to conduct forensic assessments, including fraud examinations, investigations and business interruption claim preparation.
  • The candidate must be able to prioritize and process large volumes of data and information to facilitate analyses.
  • The candidate will assist with drafting client results, including reports, memorandums, presentations, and claim schedules.
  • The candidate must be able to optimally communicate the results and findings in a clear and concise manner for clients and internal senior team members.
  • The candidate should be able to perform accounting research on technical accounting and financial matters that may arise during a case and be able to communicate and apply those findings in an effective manner.
  • The candidate will work with senior team members to help ensure the accurate deployment of staff and resources on our engagements.
Business Development:

Business development of Cyber offerings. Specifically:

  • Develop a rapport with AE's, cyber claims advocates, and cyber brokers to market projects.
  • Support CPAV overall initiatives for institutionalization into other areas of Commercial Risk - internationally and other practice groups (CSG, FSG, Industry Practices, etc.)
  • Develop, participate, and join organizations to further develop business and networking.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • BA or BS required.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred or pursuing same.
  • Proficiency with Excel / Microsoft Office applications.
  • 2 - 5 years forensic accounting / insurance claim preparation experience.
  • Flexibility, confidence, and maturity to work remotely.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $90,000 to $115,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
