The Sales Operations Specialist - Project Estimator will work with our Sales and Manufacturing teams on complex projects, generating customer quotes by leveraging outstanding problem-solving skills. This position is responsible for reviewing all customer technical requirements including quality, process and regulatory standards, and ensure that quotes address these requirements. Upon customer order, clearly communicate these requirements to operational production staff.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN THIS SALES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - PROJECT ESTIMATOR ROLE?

  • Create customer quotes for low-volume production and prototype work in various additive and traditional manufacturing technologies, including MJF, FDM/FFF, SLA, Metal FFF, CNC, Injection Molding, and Cast Urethane, while considering secondary operations.
  • Generate complex customer quotes by leveraging problem-solving skills.
  • Work seamlessly with Sales and Manufacturing teams on complex projects.
  • Support projects for quoted work through all Pre-Sales phases.
  • Interpret customer drawings and requirements to develop manufacturing process plans, identifying the technical resources needed to successfully complete customer parts.
  • Review all customer technical requirements, including quality, process, and regulatory standards, and ensure that quotes address these requirements. Upon customer order, clearly communicate these requirements to operational production staff.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of various additive manufacturing technologies and their applications, staying current with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Use the company's quoting system effectively to create accurate and competitive customer quotes, considering the specific manufacturing technologies and secondary operations required.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS SALES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - PROJECT ESTIMATOR ROLE?

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical or STEM field or Sales Operations.
  • General understanding of CAD or Technical Drawings.
  • Previous experience in quoting or Sales Operation roles with excellent customer skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with Account Managers and other team members, ensuring clear and accurate information exchange.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects, particularly in a fast-paced work environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills to address any technical or operational challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle, finding practical solutions to ensure project success.
  • Work effectively as a team player, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, production staff, and quality control, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm in the Pacific or Mountain time zone.

A3D Manufacturing has determined that the new hire pay range for this role is between $47,200 and $55,000. Your base pay will be based on a number of factors, including knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, since base pay is only one part of our total compensation and benefits package, we invite you to review all of the amazing benefits (above) that A3D offers, such as paid days off for your birthday, community service, and paid parental leave; company match 401(k); etc.
