Software Engineer II or III (Dental Hub)

What will YOU be doing for us?

You will be part or a team building a new, disruptive solution for the dental industry that will connect providers, patients, payers, and other key stakeholders. The solution is a new connectivity ecosystem and information engine that will streamline day-to-day business transactions and facilitate the free flow of data between providers, patients, payers and other business partners. You will be building a connectivity solution that enables new business models and that delivers value to all constituents in the dental space through new recurring revenue streams, significant cost savings, and improved access to care and health outcomes.

What will YOU be working on every day?

• Act as a full stack technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).

• Assist senior and lead engineers to develop, modify and maintain software applications.

• Investigate technologies and research solutions needed for system and business requirements.

• Promote high quality coding practices and SOLID development principles.

• Design and develop software according to SKYGEN and OWASP secure-coding guidelines.

• Develop unit tests essential to CICD; ensuring reasonable coverage through highest-value tests.

• Work with stakeholders and internal resources to assess and understand technical specifications and business requirements.

• Participate on an agile scrum team; sizing work efforts and decomposing functionality.

• Work collaboratively with internal team members on investigating and fixing defects.

• Provide support for complex and escalated operational issues as necessary.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation as needed.

• Mentor Software engineers

What qualifications do YOU need to have to be GOOD candidate?

• Required Level of Education, Licenses, and/or Certificates

  • Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience or equivalent certification. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field highly preferred.

• Required Level of Experience

  • Level II : Typically 2 to 4 years of experience in software development

  • Level III: Typically 5 to 7 years of experience in software development

• Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Software design and development techniques

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to others

  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and communication styles

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Knowledge and proficiency in various technical areas:

    • Object Oriented Design & SOLID Development Principles

    • Software Design Patterns & Architectures

    • Secure Coding Patterns

    • RESTful API Development

    • SQL Server or other Relational Database

    • ORM Tools

    • Modern front-end frameworks and libraries such as Angular
