Reporting to the Creative Director, Consumer Brands, the Sr. Video Content Producer will work directly with the brand channel teams for social strategy and influencer in creating videos across Beauty Industry Group brands Zala, Luxy, Donna Bella, Glam Seamless and Hidden Crown. In this dynamic position, the Sr Video Content Producer will serve as a visual storyteller by participating in every part of production from concept to final cut. Their primary responsibility will be post-production (editing, color correcting, motion graphics, and sound mixing footage) while also playing a role in storyboarding, producing, and capturing footage when necessary. They must be well organized, as they will overlook the archival of footage and video projects. Based on Beauty Industry Group’s test and learn program, they will implement and iterate our best practices in video content they are responsible for editing.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Leader of end-to-end video production for social media—from contributing to storyboards, collaborating on shotlists, assisting production partners with specs/framing, to editing and finishing;
  • Work directly with in-house creative/art directors, stylists, design, casting, and Ops on the development of shoot campaigns;
  • Responsible for setting the visual video identity for organic and paid social media, in collaboration with creative team;
  • Assign and guide work as required to external freelancers and contractors through mentorship, hands-on assistance, and onboarding;
  • Produce unique product video concepts that are social-forward, knowing how to tell a compelling story in under :30secs;
  • Assist content creators with additional editing needs for social media and other paid channels;
  • Build content creator partner briefs with inputs on video best practices, strong creative concepts/storytelling, and spec needs;
  • Responsible for editing videos and producing rough cuts for review/approval, including input on music, graphics, effects, transitions, etc.;
  • Shoot, capture audience-ready, social-first content via iPhone or company-provided camera;
  • Develop social content ideas while on-set and bring them to life through hands-on execution;
  • Potential for on-camera talent opportunity, depending on comfort level;
  • Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process;
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency including use of AI;
  • High comfort level behind a camera/iPhone, and able to assist in on-set/on-location production situations.


Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Film/Video, Design, or similar media driven majors
  • 5-7 years experience
  • Robust portfolio of proven work experience as a video editor (Beauty industry experience is a plus)
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Expert-level knowledge of social media channels and their respective best-practices
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Must be extremely detailed and organized
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
  • Strong sense for collaboration and communication, able to build trust and leadership easily within matrixed organization
  • Team-player attitude that approaches assignments with a sense of urgency, agility, and flexibility
  • Previous people manager a plus
