Title: Driver Helper
Shift: 3:30 pm - 9:30 pm
(Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday)
Pay Rate: $18.50hr
Duration: Temp to Hire
The driver helper will also be responsible for helping secure the truck and trailer, acting as a ground guide, maintaining a respectful work environment, following clock-in and out procedures, adhering to signing-in and out policies, and maintaining a professional dress code.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Unloading Products
- Efficiently and safely unload products
- Handle items with precision to prevent any damage.
- Place products in designated areas within stores.
- Assist in securing the truck and trailer after unloading.
- Properly close and lock doors, ensuring a secure trailer hitch.
- Verify the good working condition of all equipment and report issues promptly.
- Serve as a ground guide for safe truck and trailer movement.
- Direct the driver during backing up and guide through tight spaces.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- 0 to 12 months experience in a warehouse setting.
- Be able to lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Adhere to a professional dress code, including company-provided uniforms.
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear the required safety equipment.
- Maintain three points of contact when entering or exiting the delivery vehicle.
- Mind posture to reduce the risk of injuries; keep the back straight when lifting or carrying items.
