Job Title: Busser Department: Operations

Reports to: Managing Partner, Store Leader Team Position Summary:

Assists servers to maintain service efficiency and ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness of the front of house area.

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Able to promote a welcoming environment for every guest.
2. All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always striveto
3. exceed our guest’s expectations
4. Able to interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
5. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front-of-house including all tables, chairs, floors, windows, and restrooms
6. Quickly clears dirty tables and resets according to Kerbey standards.
7. Will bring additional food items, condiments, or beverages when needed or upon request until guest is satisfied.
8. Restocks dining room with plates, silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments and towels, and maintains adequate supplies in the work stations.
9. Removes dirty dishes and utensils from tables while guest is still dining
10. Returns dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and utensils to dishwashing area.
11. Assists with the duties of servers or hosts as appropriate; pre-bussing tables, refilling coffee, or rolling silverware, seating guests at the door.
12. Maintain specific side-work and ensure total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
13. Follow Store Leader’s instructions and suggestions
14. Reports to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
15. Maintains personal health and sanitation standards, which includes following the Double Hand Washing Policy.
16. Warm, friendly good-bye to every guest leaving the restaurant.
17. Communicates with cooks, servers, hosts and store leader and assists in the entire team effort
18. All other duties as directed.

Essential Physical Requirements

1. Walks and stands during entire shift
2. Reaches, bends, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries, pushes and wipes.
3. Must have the ability to frequently lift and carry bus tubs, trays, and other objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
4. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts from knives, slipping, tripping, falls and burns
5. Frequent hand washing

Knowledge and Skills

1. Must be able to communicate English
2. Communicates with cooks, servers, and store leaders
3. Knowledge of all workplace safety procedures
4. Food Handler Certified by State of Texas and City of Austin

Pay Rate: $3.00
