THE POSITION

Help keep the Department of Transportation (DOT) running on time! We're looking for an enthusiastic and diligent candidate who is interested in furthering their human resource career in the area of time and absence management. You will serve as one of the Regional Time Advisors, supervising district timekeepers and providing guidance and oversight on time, payroll, and absence management matters. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the Time and Attendance Analyst, you will work directly with field human resource officers and central office bureaus to provide policy interpretation on time rules, contractual entitlements, and absence management. You will conduct research and provide error resolution, specifically with DOT's Plant Maintenance Payroll process (ZIPY). Supervision is exercised over district timekeepers and guidance is provided on time and absence matters related to union contracts, bargaining unit rules, multiple shift and 24/7 operations, union side letters, temporary working out of class, and alternate work schedules.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week upon successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in the performance of technical human resource duties; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
