About this job

As the Senior Legal Counsel for Mergers & Acquisitions, you will be a legal business partner supporting Clarivate's corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, complex commercial agreements, and much more. Reporting to the Senior Director & Associate General Counsel (based in the US), you will work with ahighly respected global legal team.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Juris Doctorate in good standing to the bar of working location.

  • At least 4 years' experience as an attorney working primarily on complex, multinational mergers and acquisitions,

  • At least 3 years at a large North American law firm as a corporate/M&A associate.

  • Prior in-house experience.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Provide legal support for Clarivate's corporate transactions, including the review and negotiation of deal documents, assistance in structuring deals, and coordination of due diligence.

  • Lead a variety of general corporate projects.

  • Review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, as time permits.

  • Help develop Clarivate's contract lifecycle management system to ensure corporate transaction readiness and speed of execution.

  • Identify ongoing personal training and developmental needs as part of continuous career and professional development.

The corporate, technology and business services team is a global team specializing in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, real estate, intellectual property and various technology issues, including AI.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.This is a hybrid position working in the office up to 3 days a week. US office locations for this position may be based in the following cities: Ann Arbor, MI; Overland Park, KS; Tempe, AZ; Alexandria, VA.
