Description

Atlantic Union's Summer Diversity Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local diverse students to gain practical work experience, helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks, and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

Position Accountabilities

The Intern is provided assignments that include the entire Talent Acquisition process; from full-cycle recruiting, to audit, to program management. The intern will also get the opportunity to:

  • Participate in the recruitment process, which involves sourcing, screening, scheduling and selection of ideal individuals
  • Manage the recruiting pipeline, which includes determining resource status and needs, coordinating recruiting events and sourcing activities, assessing and managing referral processes
  • Create, build, and maintain networks of potential passive candidates to fill future anticipated and planned roles
  • Maintain and provide data for weekly/monthly key talent acquisition metric reports
  • Support and contribute to the company's diversity and inclusion recruiting strategy
  • Special projects or assignments as needed
  • Support college recruiting

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Lead Recruiter and has a Hybrid residency.

Position Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Position Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years' old
  • Currently working on degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related preferred. Interest in learning about Recruiting and/or Human Resources
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
  • Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Must be able to function well with indirect supervision
