Beyond Talent Edge is currently recruiting for a Phlebotomist for a local health care facility. A phlebotomist is a medical professional who is responsible for drawing blood from patients for various medical tests, donations, and transfusions.

Available Shift

2pm- 10:30pm

Pay rate $18-$20 depending on experience

The job description of a phlebotomist includes the following duties and responsibilities:

• Collecting blood specimens: The primary duty of a phlebotomist is to collect blood specimens from patients using various techniques, such as venipuncture, capillary puncture, and arterial puncture.
• Identifying patients and labeling samples: Phlebotomists are responsible for verifying patients' identities, labeling specimens correctly, and ensuring that they are properly stored and transported to the laboratory for testing.
• Preparing equipment: Phlebotomists must ensure that all equipment used for blood collection is clean and in good working condition.
• Communicating with patients: Phlebotomists must explain the blood collection process to patients and address any concerns they may have.
• Maintaining records: Phlebotomists are responsible for maintaining accurate records of blood collection procedures, patient information, and laboratory results.
• Adhering to safety protocols: Phlebotomists must follow strict safety protocols to minimize the risk of infection or injury to themselves or patients. They must also dispose of hazardous waste materials properly.
• Participating in training and continuing education: Phlebotomists must stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, regulations, and best practices in their field. They may need to participate in training and continuing education programs to maintain their skills and knowledge.
