Transportation Coord

MedTrans is Medline's private fleet of professional drivers that delivers our lifesaving medical products directly to both commercial and residential customers. Our fleet consists of 1,500+ trucks that feature newer equipment. We manage a network of over 50 distribution centers nationally and provide 1-day shipping to 95% of the United States. Due to continued growth we are in need of a Transportation Coordinator to join our team in Lacey, WA. This is an onsite Monday - Friday position, with an 8 AM - 5 PM or 9 AM - 6 PM shift.

Responsibilities:

• Answer and respond to Operations Service Inquiries (OSI) and inbound calls from sales reps and other Medline employees
• Primary goal of position includes but is not limited to answering OSIs, answering inbound calls from sales reps and other Medline employees
• Determine which modes of transportation are to be used to move products or raw materials between branches, into our manufacturing facilities, or to Medline Customers
• Communicate and interact with carriers, operations and sales team, as well as some interaction with our customers, as required
• Assist and participate with various department initiatives such as the scheduling initiative and inside delivery initiative
• Secure rush carriers and rescues, as needed

Education

• N/A

Relevant Work Experience

• At least 2 years exp experience serving as a Transportation Coordinator or related position

Additional

• Knowledge of transportation practices.
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

• Degree in Logistics / Transportation / Finance / Business or equivalent experience

Relevant Work Experience

• Experience with SAP

• The anticipated salary range for this position is $18.75 – $30.75 per hour. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
