Kavaliro is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with Netsuite experience for an onsite position in Orlando, FL. As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA), you are expected to be an advanced professional in the systems & process design and implementation space and have experience with software implementation projects. The BSA will solicit, understand, and document the customer's business requirements, processes and workflows developing both written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows. The BSA will also work with developers and/or vendors to create the functional specifications that meet those requirements, serve as a subject matter expert to the developers/vendors building those functions, and work with the internal teams to test the developed functionality. This role works closely with business units, Information Technology, testers, and production teams through each stage of the software development lifecycle and demonstrates both existing and new functionality to the customer stakeholders. This role requires an experienced analyst who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, lead others, drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions. As an experienced analyst, you will be responsible for recommending and instituting business analysis best practice, tools and methodology towards standardization of BA deliverables and procedures and collaborating with Development and QA Leads to uphold and improve Agile processes. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Requirements are essential to developing and creating information technology solutions. Defining, analyzing and documenting requirements developed from the BSA’s creative process, and are envisioned to show what a system can do. The following are the BSA roles in defining, documenting and managing requirements Extract requirements: Determine project requirements by extracting them from business policies, as well as from current and future users, through interaction and research. Anticipate requirements: Through interaction with current and future users, anticipate requirements that will be needed in the future or that have not yet been. Constrain requirements: Develop complete and comprehensive requirements for project success, with a concentration and attention on main business needs, and not users’ personal preferences. Organize requirements: Organize requirements into related categories to effectively and efficiently manage and communicate them. Sort into types according to their source and applicability. Avoid project requirements from becoming overlooked and lead optimum use of time and budgets. Translate requirements: Translate business requirements into technical requirements. This includes using powerful analysis and modeling tools to match strategic business objectives with practical technical solutions. Safeguard requirements: At regular intervals in the project life cycle, safeguard and protect the business and user’s needs by verifying functionality, accuracy and completeness of the requirements against original initiating documents. Simplify requirements: Always accentuate simplicity and ease of use, especially in implementation. Meet business strategies and objectives for all assigned projects; identify and avoid unnecessary activities that do not solve the problem or help to reach the objective. Verify requirements: Continually verify the requirements and reject all implementations that do not lead to defined business goals and objectives. Verify requirements are accomplished through scrutiny, testing, demonstration and inspection. Manage requirements: Conduct formal requirements presentation, review and approval sessions, where project schedules, costs and duration estimates are updated, and the business objectives are revisited. Upon approval, transition into requirements management activities for the rest of the IT solution life cycle. System and operations maintenance: Maintain, or prevent and correct errors and defects; enhance, or make changes to increase the value provided by the system; and operate and maintain, or provide system validation procedures, maintenance reports, deactivation plans, and other documents, plans and reports. DUTIES: The focus of the BSA is identifying opportunities for improving processes and using technology to eliminate problems that affect productivity, output, distribution and ultimately, the bottom line. Know how technology can solve business problems is vital to the BSA’s success. The BSA will use information technology systems to help achieve and attain strategic business goals and objectives. They may design and develop new systems by configuring new hardware and software or use existing systems in new ways to achieve additional outcomes. The following are the duties performed by a BSA;Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gather information; evaluate output requirements and formats. Analyze the business processes in an organization or a company for inefficiencies and inadequacies. Make recommendations and approvals for solutions or improvements that can be achieved and attained through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology. Act as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or information technology team. Analyze and communicate stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements. Document and evaluate required data and information. Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures. Use modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through an organization to enhance project success. Consult with management and users to determine the needs of the system Design a system to meet the business objectives and goals Specify inputs and formatting outputs to meet users’ needs Use techniques such as sampling, model building and structured analysis, along with accounting principles, to ensure the solution is efficient, cost-effective and financially feasible Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users. Develop specifications diagrams and flowcharts for programmers and/or vendors to follow Oversee implementation, coordinating tests and observing initiation of the system to validate performance Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or relevant field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business systems analyst. Experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle NetSuite or an equivalent ERP. (preference will be given to candidates who possess NetSuite) Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
