About this job
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Document Management:
Obtains regulatory and material documentation from suppliers, e.g., specifications, certificates of insurance, certificates of analysis or compliance, Safety Data Sheets.
Processes change control approval requests and sample requests documentation.
Notify vendor of specification changes
Purchase Orders:
Follow up on purchase orders on a daily or weekly basis.
Compares product deliveries and contacts vendors when there are discrepancies.
Supports the SP program with continuous updates and data adjustments to improve the fill rates and inventory levels.
Supplier Rejects/Returns:
Works with suppliers, Quality, Receiving and Accounting teams to coordinate the return of rejected materials or identify short shipments and ensure credit is obtained from suppliers.
Assists Purchasing Department on special projects.
Complies with safety and GMP requirements.
SAFETY RESPONSIBIILTY STATEMENT
Supports a culture of safe production and operations; follows all safety rules and procedures. Actively participates in the safety program by: engaging in training activities to learn what constitutes a safety hazard; reporting safety concerns to the supervisor, submitting safety suggestions, and correcting or reporting to the appropriate people when an employee sees a workplace health or safety hazard, until it is resolved. Assists with communicating safety information to new employees. Fulfills responsibilities as outlined in the company safety management plan.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School (Senior) or College Student. Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Good problem solving skills required and ability to make decisions independently.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic computer and data entry skills required; experience with Excel and Oracle preferred. Good attention to detail skills required. Promotes teamwork, possesses a good attitude, and exhibits flexibility and willingness to change tasks and help where needed in a fast-paced environment.
