Our Lincoln, MA office, approximately 30 minutes outside of Boston, is growing! We are seeking a Private Fund Administrator (Alternative Investments) to join our team of investment and client-service professionals. This position may also sit in New York City at 280 Park Avenue (location flexible).

In this newly created role, the Private Fund Administrator - Alternative Investments is responsible for providing support to the front office by ensuring seamless coordination of pre-trade processes relating to client investments in alternative assets. The incumbent must have experience with completing /reviewing subscription documents for private equity and hedge fund investments (required). You will liaise regularly with the Portfolio Management and Compliance teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Portfolio Managers to complete AML/KYC, OSQ and AI/QP forms necessary for client investments in private vehicles / private equity / hedge funds.

  • Review completed subscription documents for all alternative investments (hedge funds, private equity funds and private real estate funds, including FTI private vehicles) and handle follow up questions and requests for supporting materials.

  • Track alternative investment closing dates and deadlines, ensuring all deadlines are met.

  • Handle maintenance of alternative investments, including amendment consents, and tax certification, new issue, and FINRA forms.

  • Play a significant role in helping to develop robust processes and reports to keep the front office informed about crucial pre-trade status, processes, and requirements, enabling them to stay updated and make informed investment decisions.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in alternative investments or wealth management industry

  • Required: Must have demonstrated experience completing/reviewing subscription documents for private equity funds, private real estate funds, and/or hedge funds

  • Should have familiarity with trust, estate, and legal entity structures

  • Know Your Client and Anti-Money Laundering experience (KYC/AML)

  • Understanding of laws and regulations with respect to KYC/AML/Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and the PATRIOT Act
  • Private fund administration experience

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily work responsibilities

  • Ability to track and meet shifting deadlines

  • Ability to comprehend and follow written / verbal instructions with limited supervision

  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to liaise between the Portfolio Managers, Compliance and Senior Management

Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary-designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $75,000 - $100,000 (flexible).
