Quality Specialist

To ensure compliance of the documented quality system to specified requirements (internal and external), promote, and facilitate continuous improvement, and provide general support to the facility for interpretation and application of internal and external quality program standards.

Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:

Position is self-directed (minimum supervision), and interacts with all management and production employees to maintain and improve the

overall effectiveness of the quality program.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate the identification of all pertinent procedures within the Division.
• Assist in the interpretation and development of written procedural documents.
• Achieve and/or maintain ISO certification.
• Interface with customers, distributors, vendors and other department personnel to answer questions and follow-up with information as needed.
• Communicates and educates Value Stream Team on matters requiring specialized knowledge of quality functions, i.e., Production Approval
• Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Process (APQP), and document control.
• Makes quality-related customer and vendor visits and contacts as required.
• Submit Cost Reductions for continuous improvement.
• Assist Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Departments in correcting any procedures found to be in error during ISO audits.
• Any other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives, or as assigned by the immediate Supervisor.

Qualifications

• BS Degree or Equivalent Experience - with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the Quality field.
• Physical mobility to access procedures in the division to include manufacturing areas.
