Job Title: Urgent Care Tech (Paramedic)

The Urgent Care Tech is a Paramedic with a National Registry Certification, functioning under the Medical Direction of Convenient MD. The UCT possesses the education and skills of advanced patient assessment for the management of various medical illnesses and traumatic injuries, airway management, intravenous therapy, and pharmacological interventions. The UCT will function as the lead team member in situations where an RN is not scheduled and will work as part of the clinical team completing all shared clinical responsibilities and tasks within their scope of practice.

What you’ll do:

1. Patient triage, to include but not limited to: vital signs; medical history; observational examination
2. Assist with any and all patient exams, testing and procedures under the direction of the provider
3. Airway management through nebulizer treatment, oral suctioning, oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal airway, oxygen administration & ventilation with AMBU bag
4. Cardiac Management through application of 12 Lead ECG, CPR-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and defibrillation by AED
5. Administration of medication and immunizations as outlined by the CMD Urgent Care Technician scope of practice
6. Assist with patient call backs to include, but not limited to, answering of patient questions, reporting test results, medication/therapy changes
7. Participates in training and precepting new members

About you:

1. Nationally Certified Paramedic (Required in NH & MA, ME preferred)
2. Licensed Paramedic
3. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Preferred; American Red Cross BLS Certification Accepted
4. Must be able to work 12hr shifts and weekends

Physical Requirements:

1. Requires the ability to stand and sit for hours at a time. Some bending and stooping is required.
2. Must be able to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements.
3. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
