Job Summary:

The Summer Intern will be a highly motivated individual that is responsible for assisting department heads on special projects and other assigned tasks. The internship will be a temporary position not expected to exceed 10-week term. Responsibilities will include formulating a special report at the end of the term to showcase research results and company recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completes assigned department projects by researching and investigating opportunities for improvement.
  • Responsible for collecting and inputting data into systems.
  • Provides support to a defined department such as Accounting, Marketing, or HR and completes assigned task.
  • Reports safety issues or concerns to management in a timely manner
  • Must be able to report to Brookneal corporate headquarters or assigned workplace when necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, HR, Accounting/Finance, or Management
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliability and timeliness
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work effectively as a team
  • Minimum 2.7 GPA or higher
  • Letter of recommendation

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in case studies or research reporting

Schedule:

  • In-person office position
  • 30-40 hours required
