Retail Pharmacy Tech 0.6 (24 hours a week) #1242

We are hiring a Retail Pharmacy Tech to work in our Riceville retail pharmacy. The Retail Pharmacy Tech will assist the pharmacist in the performance of other pharmacy department duties in accordance with MCRHC policies and procedures. The Retail Pharmacy Tech is responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Monday: 8:30-12:30
Tuesday: 8:30-12:30
Wednesday: 8:30-5:00
Thursday: 8:30-12:30
Friday: 8:30-12:30

The Pay:

Based on experience, base wage starts at $16.00 per hour.

What We Need from You:

• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues in a timely manner and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and MCRHC customer experience guidelines (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.)
• Develops strong relationships with customers by anticipating customer needs and proactively offering services.

Position Qualifications

Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be a registered pharmacy technician or be eligible for registration in the State of Iowa. This must be completed within 90 days of employment.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
• Mandatory Reporting

Experience: Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Special Skills & Aptitudes:

• Proficient in mathematical skills so to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
