Seasonal Mosquito Night Technician

Clarke Environmental Mosquito Services of Clearwater, MN is seeking to hire a Seasonal Mosquito Night Technician. You will be controlling adult populations by applying an Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) mosquito control product via a company issued truck to contracted communities, subdivisions, industrial sites, and other areas. You will be responsible for protecting our customers from disease and annoyance caused by mosquitoes. Hands-on training will be provided in all areas, no experience needed. WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY

This position earns a competitive hourly wage of $20 per hour and generally works Monday- Thursday, 6:00 pm to 2:00 am with some Friday's and Sunday's (start/end times may vary, days, weekends and some holidays may be required based on business needs). The Mosquito Night Technician is a seasonal position and supports the mosquito control operations (generally May - September).

Experience:

No Previous experience is required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MOSQUITO NIGHT TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities include but not limited to: (Training will be provided)

• Ability to follow GPS Routes and read maps
• Truck ULV (ultra-low volume) spraying of contracted communities streets, industrial sites, and other areas
• Document all treatment records into our database via company issued tablet
• Calculating Proper Dosage and applying pesticide to mosquito habitats

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills
• Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms
• Have a valid driver's License with an excellent driving record
• Be able to sit, drive a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, lift, and carry a 50-60lb backpack during treatments for extensive amounts of time
• Must be able to work through the end of our season (generally September)
• Required to pass the Minnesota Department of Agriculture Exams (training provided)
• Candidate must be comfortable performing assigned duties in the field from a vehicle while navigating through various residential communities, urban environments and traffic patterns where environmental conditions that is affected by weather.
• Capable of using a handheld technical device including, but not limited to, smartphones, GPS, and system applications.
• Candidate must also be comfortable performing assigned duties outdoors while walking through various and challenging terrain including, but not limited to water, heavy vegetation and uneven land throughout residential communities, urban environments, and forested areas where environmental conditions are affected by weather.
