CNC Machinist / Die Maintenance Machinist

Description

Job Skills and Duties

  • 2 years CNC machinist experience preferred

Basic Operating Procedures

  • Machining
  • Forklift knowledge / experience
  • Basic operation of milling machine.
  • Load and unload machine tooling.
  • Setup material for machining (square up blocks & 3D)
  • Deburr, polish, and file finished parts.
  • Drill, tap, counter bore, and ream holes
  • Use trigonometry to figure angles.
  • Read and understand blue prints.
  • Be able to machine holding tight tolerances
  • Follow machine schedules and machine time.
  • Communicate with die makers on machine projects.
  • Write small programs for can cycle.
  • Be able to G code program
  • Understand feeds and speeds.
  • Shop Maintenance
  • Cleaning and Organization
  • Keep area clean after machining is complete.
  • Keep scrap hoppers emptied
  • Keep machine tables clean
  • Maintain proper tooling
  • Insure oil and coolants are being maintained.
  • Safety
  • Follow company policies.
  • Wear proper PPE for Machinist.
  • Keep floors clean and free of debris.
  • Familiar with Okuma CNC Bridge Mill
  • Able to use Solid Works, AutoCAD

Familiar or previous experience with Surf Cam, Work NC a plus
