LPN Licensed Practical Nurse Full-Time Night Shift -Grant County

*Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing services to patients within a correctional environment. The LPN delivers nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.*

* *Respond and intervein to all emergency situations*
* *Conduct Patient Intake paperwork*
* *Verify and obtain orders for patient medication*
* *Conduct Sick Call clinic*
* *Order / maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy*
* *Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations*
* *Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs*
* *Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit*
* *Monitor for, report and document changes in patient's condition*
* *Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions*
* *Ensure daily nursing task are completed within prescribed timeframe.*
* *Maintain patient confidentiality*
* *Assist with training and orientation of new personnel*
* *Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines*
* *Perform other job-related duties as assigned.*

*Requirements:*
*Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School*
*Current and valid LPN or LVN license*
*Current CPR*
*Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as as LPN.*
*One year experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.*
