DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In the role of Mechanic Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and direct supervision of various analytical, troubleshooting, and repair tasks for construction equipment and hand tools powered by gasoline or diesel engines. This includes systems such as hydraulic, electrical, heating and cooling, manual and automatic transmissions, exhaust, and drive train systems. Additionally, you will supervise state vehicle inspections, assign work to mechanics, review work orders, and report any equipment accidents or damage promptly.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch
  • Overtime may be required. Dual shifts in effect November through March
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of journey level mechanical experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a Pennsylvania Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with the air brake (L) restriction removed.
  • This position requires possession of an active Class 4 or 7 Pennsylvania Inspection Mechanic Certification.

Conditions of Employment:
  • PA State Emissions Certification (OBDII) must be obtained within the probationary period.
  • This position is subject to random Drug and Alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Regulations.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
