Overview

Job Purpose

ICE Clear Credit (ICC), a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., is looking for a Project Lead for both ICE Link (a flexible post-trade messaging and workflow system for the global credit derivatives market) and ICE Clear Credit (the world's largest Clearing House for Credit Default Swaps). The Project Lead will be responsible for the execution of highly complex programs that consist of multiple projects. The Project Lead is responsible for meeting key performance objectives, managing issues to resolution, managing risk, managing program scope changes effectively, and ensuring that the work completed adheres to all company and department standards and processes. The Project Lead must be self-motivated, results-oriented, meticulous in detail and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires frequent interaction with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams to ensure the delivery of a quality system.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple complex projects within a program or several unrelated projects
  • Determine and negotiate project goals and priorities with stakeholders and sponsors, establish and publish clear project priorities for the team, and prepare project plans along with other deliverables
  • Set, track, and report release planning milestones through full life cycle of a project, from inception through release including:
    • Identify, document, and escalate project risks and issues to sponsors and stakeholders.
    • Develop, measure, and monitor project plans and schedules
    • Monitor key deliverables for completeness and accuracy
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation
    • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope and schedule
    • Define Project Level KPIs for reporting progress
    • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
    • Ensure all reporting tools reflect correct state and status of release
    • Ensure project stakeholders are informed of progress and issues
    • Communicate project status to senior management to ensure that project priorities and status are understood.
    • Create implementation plans for deployments and track through completion
  • Demonstrate consistency across release management practices and processes
  • Assist in the ongoing development of best-practice project management and iterative development methodologies including rollout/training to team members as necessary
  • Actively participate in strategic planning discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Knowledge and Experience

  • Must be highly engaged, assertive, entrepreneurial in spirit with respect for processes, accountability, and decision traceability as well as aspire towards leadership
  • 4+ years plus of experience in a project management role involving iterative software development methodologies (Agile, RUP, SCRUM)
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams to identify and address issues related to planning and strategy, framing key decisions, and facilitating prioritization of initiatives
  • The candidate needs to exhibit good business judgment, the ability to direct and critique the work of others while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrates disciplined change control procedures to ensure scope fluctuations are handled correctly and in a timely manner
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with rapidly changing priorities, requirements, and timelines
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Financial Market Infrastructure is preferred
  • JIRA knowledge and experience is preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cobit 5 is a plus

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
