Collector

About the Role: We are seeking a Collector with EPIC knowledge and experience in insurance collections to join our team. The Collector will be responsible for performing collection activities for assigned accounts, contacting patients and insurance company representatives, and maintaining collection files on the accounts receivable system. Responsibilities: Perform collection activities for assigned accounts Contact patients, insurance companies, attorneys, employers, and Physicians to resolve payment difficulties or arrange satisfactory payment plans Contact patients and insurance company representatives to check the status of claims, obtain insurance information, check on interim billings, and counsel patients on financial arrangements Process accounts for write-off after thorough research and approval from the Billing and Collections Manager Communicate with collection affiliates and provide information to the Credit Bureau to solve payment difficulties Receive, review, and respond to correspondence related to accounts and take necessary actions Education Qualification: - High School Diploma or GED required
