Job Title: Production Supervisor
Openings: 5
Location: Lansing, MI 48917
Schedule: Rotating Shifts, Required Flexibility, 1st Shift: 6:30am to 4pm and 2nd Shift: 5pm to 2:30am, roughly 12 hours OT
Pay: $25-$26 an hour + benefits
Join our thriving Automotive Manufacturing team as a Production Group Leader. This role offers room for growth, potential conversion to permanent status, and the chance to work in a successful, team-focused environment. This organization is committed to investing in training to ensure employees' success, providing valuable experience in leadership, patience, teamwork, and interaction with counterparts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive 45 minutes before the shift to coordinate with team leaders on headcount and current needs.
- Review feedback from the previous shift and set expectations for the team.
- Collaborate with both hourly and salaried employees to resolve discrepancies and ensure the quality and safety of vehicles.
- Provide feedback on the quality of vehicles, safety of members, and challenges that arise.
- Recap and share challenges with the next shift for a smooth transition and to maintain good quality for customers.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Degree preferred)
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication in a Union Environment
- Engaging both hourly and salaried employees
- Problem Solving: Collaborative problem-solving approach
- Accountability: Comfortable addressing employees and holding them accountable when necessary
